Why is Family Voice important to the Colorado Partnership for Thriving Families?
In order to inspire true systems change that supports all Coloradans, families must be engaged as key partners in these efforts. These partnerships with families are based on listening, trust, and mutual respect. The Colorado Partnership for Thriving Families (CPTF) is committed to elevating the voices of families with diverse experiences in order to co-create priorities, strategies, and solutions for enacting these system-level transformations. Family voice representatives participate as valued experts in all CPTF spaces, including the Leadership Team and all other Partnership meeting spaces.
How can I become involved in CPTF as a Family Voice Representative?
The CPTF invites parent and family representatives from all backgrounds and experiences to join our collaborative work of implementing integrated strategies aimed at significantly reducing child fatalities and child maltreatment for all children 0 to 5 by positively and proactively supporting strong and healthy family formation. This opportunity is intended to allow individuals to share their own experiences as an expert on pregnancy and parenting.
Who should apply to be a CPTF Family Voice Representative?
|
Anyone in a parenting/caregiving role and/or with pregnancy experience is welcome to complete the CPTF Family Voice Representative Interest Form. Given the focus of the CPTF on the prenatal period and first year postpartum, preference will be given to pregnant people and parents/caregivers with young children.
One of the CPTF’s foundations is equity and inclusion. As such, we are committed to building inclusive coalition spaces that reflect Colorado’s population, including people of all cultures, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and all other identities represented in Colorado.
Stipends from the backbone organization and/or participating organizations are available when budget allows.
